Geothermal Mud
New Zealand’s Rotorua is full of incredible thermal pools – we think that the best is Wai-o-tapu thermal wonderland, which offers incredible thermal coloured lakes, a geyser that erupts everyday and pools of creamy mud. Hell’s Gate and the Waikite Valley Thermal pools are worth a day or so exploration too.
Milford Sound
Milford Sound is the Fiordland’s most accessible fiord – the lakes glisten and the snow-capped peaks of the mountains dip in and out of lavish layers of mist and fog making for one of the most beautiful and dramatic scenes in New Zealand. Our favourite way to see it is by taking a nature cruise through the fiord – which gives you the chance to spot dolphins, seals and penguins.
