There are few better places to go in search of Tigers than the Bandhavgarah National Park, which is home to one of the highest densities of Bengal Tigers in the world. From the safety of a jeep or atop an elephant, you’ll witness an incredible array of these fierce creatures as they hunt for food in their (unspoilt) natural habitat – some crossing in front of your vehicle as they stalk their prey, while others play by the water, taking a moment to cool down from the warmth of the sun. Elsewhere – the immensely beautiful Kanha and the Chitvan Jungle Lodge offer forests of Bamboo and inviting meadows to look for Tigers and the jungle’s other inhabitants such as leopards, sloths and Indian wild dogs. Those of you visiting Rajasthan should consider visiting the Ranthambore National Park, which is 130KM away from Jaipur – it’s lush green forests, vast amounts of flora, and busy waterways, filled with bathing mammals are simply quite beautiful.
