TranzAlpine Train. We love taking train journeys in New Zealand – whether a coastal trip across the pacific or, our favourite, the TranzApline Train. The route is between Christchurch and Greymouth and passes through immense beautiful terrains of farmlands, the legendary Canterbury Plains and through the deep gorges alongside the stunning Waimakariri River.
