Buhoma Lodge is an upmarket / Luxury accommodation establishment that is located in the north of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park known as Buhoma sector. It is very close to the park entry point and thus presenting an ideal base for tracking three mountain gorilla groups of Habinyanja, Rushegura and Mubare.Originally known as the Buhoma Homestead, the property has been renovated and now offers eight traditionally built cottages with en suite facilities, private verandas, large comfortable beds and hot and cold running water, while some cottages also feature bath tubs. There is an elevated lounge area where, on cool evenings (as the lodge is at almost 1,500 metres above sea level), a fireplace is lit while the lodge’s restaurant serves a variety of international and local dishes such as matoke and g-nut sauce, on request. Supplies are obtained, as far as possible, from local sources and staff are also generally recruited locally and trained on site.
