Brazilian cuisine is dominated by a mixture of African and European flavours. It’s so very varied that it really doesn’t matter what your food preferences are – you’ll always find something in Brazil. Along with Argentina, Brazil claims the crown of South America’s barbecue king. Try charcoaled steak and skewers of queijo coalho, and visit a churrascaría for all kinds of meat cooked to absolute perfection. For something a little ore traditional, try a Feijoada stew which is eaten from the north to the south of the country and made of a hearty mix of black beans, sausage and various cuts of meat – all of which are left to stew for 24 hours before touching a plate.
