South Korean cuisine is a pleasure to explore – you may have already heard of the infamous Korean style Barbecue and of course Kimchi is world-renowned, but it’s dishes like ttedeobokki or rice cakes in sauce that you really need to try on your trip. Seoul is one of the best places to try the cuisine, as each dish has a street filled with restaurants all serving their versions of that particular food. Try cold buckwheat noodles in the summer, mixed up with diced vegetables and topped up with gochujang (red pepper paste), blood sausage filled with noodles, savoury pancakes stuffed with pork, kimchi or even seafood and Sondubu (homemade tofu), topped with soy sauce and spring onion.
