Laos is of course a country whose very culture is embedded in the beauty of its diverse flora and fauna. From the rugged nature of the countryside, dewy morning vistas over mountain peaks and quaint villages afforded in Vang Vieng to the untouched wilderness of the Lao jungles where you can explore waterfalls at the base of foggy mountains and visit national parks buried deep in dense forest. For a great view head to Mount Phou si, which is a 100m high hill in the centre of Luang Prabang and is adorned with a golden Wat at the summit.
