Molokai Island, which is almost untouched by tourism is a stunning escape from the busier and larger islands in the archipelago, and a great place to trace the cultural history of native Hawaiians, whether through the islands inhabitants or the ancient sites that dot the land. Lanai on the other hand is known for its Shipwreck Beach, which in turn is known for its offshore wreck of a WWII tanker, and is a good place to spot Humpback Whales - from the secluded Polihua Beach.
