Waikiki Beach - golden sands and calm, clear water. It is on the sunny coast of Oahu. It's perfect for swimming and surfing for the first time because it's surrounded by the famous Diamond Head crater. There are lots of cafés, shops, and resorts along the beach, which makes for a lively but relaxed atmosphere that mixes natural beauty with modern island charm.
Hawaii is massively multicultural and home to the descendants of ancient Polynesians, European explorers, American missionaries and Asian immigrants, all of whom have brought their own influence to the archipelagos cuisine.
The etiquette of Hawaii can be slightly surprising for first time visitors but think of it as somewhere between generic American manners and Asian sensibilities, and you should be just fine.
