Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 1 UK – LIMA
Fly to Lima .On arrival Lima you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Casa Andina Private collection.
DAY 2 LIMA (B/D)
After breakfast take half day excursion of Colonial and Modern Lima Tour. This excursion provides a perfect combination of pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern Lima, that will enable you to become acquainted with Lima’s complete history. This tour will take you to Huaca Pucllana, a magnificent ceremonial and administrative site, built in the 4th century AD, and considered by the Incas as aupallaqta, a ‘sacred village’. You will see the Historical Centre: Paseo de la Republica, San Martin Square, Government Palace. We also visit the Museum of the Banco Central de Reserva, a beautiful building hosting Peru’s treasures. The tour continues through modern Lima: El Olivar in San Isidro, Miraflores’ Central Park and Larco Mar.
DAY 3 LIMA – CUSCO (B/D)
After breakfast transfer to Cusco airport to board your flight to Cusco . On arrival Cusco you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Casa Andina Private collection .Then we take a half day city tour of Cusco . Discover the ancient Temple of the Sun, the sacred Convent of Santa Domingo and the colossal Cusco Cathedral. Gain insight into the fascinating history of the city with an interesting and informative guide as you explore one of Peru’s most treasured places on foot. DAY 4 CUSCO – SACRED VALLEYB – CUSCO (B/D)
Enjoy this fantastic experience in the Sacred Valley, which undoubtedly was a key area for Inca settlements. We start this full day tour with a visit to the market at Pisac Town, where you can buy typical Peruvian handicrafts at the best prices. After lunch you will tour the remarkable Inca village and fortress of Ollantaytambo . A very steep stone staircase leads into the fortress. Across an esplanade there is a Temple with 10 niches, and beside it a block of partially unworked stones. Beyond another esplanade, stand six huge rectangular monoliths (weighing approximately 50 tons) from the Temple of the Sun. Vestiges of rooms are seen on top, and on the other side of the hill a four storey building can be seen, which was either a military school or a prison. During the afternoon we visit the town of Chinchero . This place lies on the foundations of animportant Inca site built in the late 1400s.
DAY 5 CUSCO – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO (B/D)
Start the day by rising early and enjoying a scenic train tide to the Peruvian town of Aguas Calientes. Transfer to a bus for a brief journey to the much-visited archaeological site of Machu Picchu.Built at the height of the Inca Empire, it is widely believed that this place was built to serve as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacutec. Learn about the historical background of this impressive site from your guide while you spend the morning walking around the ruins. After the tour you will have free time to explore the complex at your own pace. By 4pm it’s time to make the return journey back to the bright lights of Cusco. Hop on the train and ride back to the city, away from the magnetic heritage of mighty Machu Picchu.
DAY 6 – CUSCO – PUNO (B/L/D)
After early breakfast transfer to station to take the Andean Explorer train.08:00 hrs Departure of the train to Puno – includes lunch on board. DAY 7 PUNO (B/L/D)
Enjoy this amazing experience in the Lake Titicaca, including a visit to floating islands of the Uros and Taquile Island.The Islands of the Uros are located in the east of the city of Puno. These islands are made of ‘totora’ reeds, rising six metres above water level. They are anchored by logs and connected to each other by ropes. They still keep the ancient traditions and community living, with their activities being fishing and handicrafts. We continue to Taquile Island which has two characteristics:the spectacular views from its hills, and its standing as a first rate textile centre. The local people (Taquilenos) live on their textile activities. This is noticeable as the men, walking in their rubber sandals (‘ojotas’ in Quechua), still wear black trousers, white flannel shirts and beautiful, finely woven chumpis (belts), with their heads covered by finely knitted ‘chullos’ (caps with ear flaps). This is an ancient civilization that continues living the traditions and laws of the Incas.
DAY 8 PUNO – LA PAZ (B/D)
After breakfast ,Travel by road and board Catamaran cruise to the Sun & moon Islands. Continue on crossing through the Tiquina Strait to Chua. Then transffer to a La Paz, the highest capital city in the world, On arrival check in at hotel Europa .
DAY 9 LA PAZ (B/D)
After breakfast ,The tour starts with a visit to the epic city of Tiwanaku, the capital of an ancient civilization, located 72 kms away from the city of La Paz and near the south-eastern shores of Lake Titikaka. During its greatest times, the capital of Tiwanaku was the largest in the world and considered to be the Cradle of all American Civilizations. These pre-Inca ruins started endless archeological debates, the most recent radiocarbon tests show that this edification dates back to 1580 B.C. In this ancient breathtaking city we will visit the Kalasasaya (Sun) temple, Semi subterranean (Earth) Temple, Akapana Pyramid and the legendary Sun Gate.
DAY 10 LA PAZ – SANTIAGO DE CHILE (B)
After breakfast transfer to La Paz International airport to board your flight to Santiago De Chile . On arrival Santiago De Chile You will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Plaza San Fransico
DAY 11 – SANTIAGO DE CHILE (B/D)
Our city tour commence with a rich cultural heritage comes to life through iconic symbols of the city including la Plaza de Armas (the main square), Santa Lucia Hill, La Moneda (the Government Palace), the Post Office and the Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral. Then head to Cerro San Cristobal, a tall hill rising nearly 1000 feet above the city, located inside the city’s largest urban park. Standing atop the hill you’ll find a church as well as a stunning 72 foot tall statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Finally we will visit the Orient Sector, the most modern area of the city with its impressive high rise buildings and classy boulevards. The afternoon is free for your own leisure and other shopping activities . Enjoy a magical night of entertainment with a delicious international dinner and live show. The show begins with dances from all over Chile including traditional dances from the North (La Tirana), the Central area (the Huasos) and the South (Chilotes) and the Best the typical dance from Eastern Island. DAY 12 SANTIAGO DE CHILE – VAL PARAISO – SANTIAGO D E CHILE (B/D)
After breakfast , we head for Valparaiso on the Pacific Coast, we will pass through the beautifully groomed vineyards of the Curacavi and Casablanca Valleys. Valparaiso, Spanish for “Paradise Valley,” is a cultural hotspot that serves as one of the country’s most important seaports. The entire city is recognized as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site for its intriguing cobblestone labyrinth of historic buildings and ancient funiculars along sloping hills. From the lookout point of “Mirador 21 de Mayo” you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the city and harbor. Your guide will point out some of the more interesting sights and is an open book for any questions you may have. Next we will visit the garden city, Vina a del Mar, Spanish for “Vineyard of the Sea.” The most famous and most visited beach in the Central Coast has much to offer. The city is ripe with beautiful parks, gardens, and avenues scattered across miles of sparkling beaches. Sights include the Presidential Castle, Liberty Avenue, The 1930’s Casino, and various classic century old “Palaces.”
DAY 13 SANTIAGO DE CHILE – BUENOS AIRES (B/D)
Fly to Buenos Aires.On arrival you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Novotel .Then in the evening we leave for Tango show .This magic night ends in one of the most important Tango-Dinner shows.
DAY 14 BUENOS AIRES (B/D)
After breakfast we leave for Delta Island tour . We will leave Buenos Aires city heading for this natural scenery and will sail along the Delta and its islands. The life of the “isle os” (people who live on the islands of the Delta) is very special. We will know their customs, culture and ways of life. We will see the elegant residences located in the residential neighborhoods of the northern suburbs. We will visit San Isidro neighborhood, and know its history and people. On the way back to Buenos Aires city, we will pass by the Presidential Residence (Quinta de Olivos).
DAY 15 BUENOS AIRES – IGUAZU FALLS (B/D)
After breakfast,Spend some time with the local expert in this panoramic introduction to Buenos Aires. Your city exploration starts with the symbol of the city, the Obelisk. This giant monument was built in 1936 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the city. One of the city’s unique features is the many beautiful open squares of colonial Spanish descent. You’ll fall in love with Plaza de Mayo, Plaza San Martín, or Plaza Congreso. The avenues are lined with equally impressive sights including favorites like Corrientes, Mayo and 9 de Julio. The financial and commercial areas of Buenos Aires are home to many interesting local sights and you can’t miss the home of the Argentinean’s favorite past time, the numerous massive soccer stadiums throughout the city. Discover architecture in historic neighborhoods like La Boca, San Telmo and Montserrat. Enjoy the finer things in life in elegant neighborhoods like Palermo and Recoleta. Between the neighborhoods, you’ll enjoy the beauty of nature interspersed at places like Lezama Park and Tres de Febrero Park. Then in late afternoon take flight to Igauzu Falls . On arrival you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Sheraton .
DAY 16 IGUAZU (B/D)
Tour the Argentina side of Iguazu Falls , you will be escorted to the Visitor’s Centre in the National Park. Here board a gas-propelled train which will take you to the footbridges and paths which make up the ‘Upper Circuit’ of the Falls. There is a walk of around one hour to the lower circuit, this visit will last approximately one and half hours. Returning to the upper circuit, board the train for ‘Devil’s Throat’. Once you are at the end of the footpath you will be surprised by the strategic lookout point resting on the side of the Devil’s Throat. Finally comes a jungle truck ride and a high speed boat run to add adrenaline and emotions to this amazing tour.
DAY 17 IGUAZU FALLS (B/D)
We Head for Iguazu Falls Brazilian side, located 20kms from the border between Argentina and Brazil. First you will be escorted to the Visitor’s Centre in the National Park. This Centre has excellent photographs and a fantastic exhibition of the Falls as well as a souvenir shop. Continue inside the National Park, along a paved road for a 10km ride that will take you to the Falls. Here you have a walking tour along the catwalk measuring 1km of easy hike. Along this trek, there are several gorgeous panoramic views of the Falls and at the end of the catwalk there is a fantastic close-up encounter with Devil’s Throat and the main waterfalls. Finally, take the panoramic elevator to the upper part of Iguazu Falls, here you will follow a track towards the Espaco Porto Canoas (The Port Canoas Space) and enjoy the spectacular views from the upper Iguazu River.
DAY 18 IGUAZU – RIO DE JANERIO (B/D)
Fly to Rio De janerio . On arrival you will be welcomed and transferred to hotel Golden Tulip Regente. The afternoon is free for your own to explore Rio De Janerio.
DAY 19 RIO DE JANERIO (B/L/D)
Visit the most famous landmarks of the Rio city. After a scenic drive along Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon, passengers arrive at the bottom of the Corcovado Hill. We will embark on a comfortable train which will climb the mountain, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer, is located (2.300ft above sea level). Upon arrival at the top we have mechanized access, with panoramic elevators and escalators that take us to the foot of the statute. We make our way down on the same route and towards the other world famous landmark, the Sugar Loaf Mountain.Rising up from small peninsula at the entrance of Guanabara Bay, its name is said to refer to its resemblance to the traditional shape of concentrated refined sugar loaf. The tour is done in two steps by glass cable-cars. The first cable-car takes passengers to the top of Urca Hill, which rises 215 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the entire bay its islands. From Urca Hill, passengers continue in a second cable car to the top of Sugar Loaf which rises395 metersabove sea level and offers a 360 degree view of the entire city including Botafogo and Copacabana Beaches, the Corcovado and downtown Rio.
