Western Canada and Alaska Cruise

After breakfast, get out of Calgary and into the majesty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Trans-Canada Highway into the rolling foothills of the Rocky Mountains. We will see the Sulphur Mountains, Bow Falls. Take the Banff Gondola, gliding above the nearby peaks near town, as you enjoy the incredible views on the ride up. Once you reach the top, take some time to visit the boardwalk and the 360-degree observation deck for more panoramas of the stunning collection of peaks nearby. Then we check in at hotel Fox suites.

After breakfast the morning is free for your leisure. this afternoon sightseeing tour will take you to the ‘Jewel of the Canadian Rockies’, Lake Louise and the world-renowned Moraine Lake. This trip will leave a lasting impression of your holiday to the Rockies. Accompanied by our interpretive guides you will be able to capture the magic of these two pristine settings.

After breakfast, today we travel along the Icefield Parkway, one of the world’s most beautiful high ways, passing some of Canada’s highest mountains and most magnificent glaciers. Stop at Bow Lake, Crowfoot Glacier and Peyto Lake before reaching the Columbia Icefield, which is one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle. Then we take ride on the Ice Explorer for a close look at the ice formations. Continue to Jasper via Athabasca and Sunwapta Falls. Then we check in at hotel The crimpson.

After breakfast, morning depart heading west over the Yellowhead Pass and via Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. Continue to the small village of Clearwater, the gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park, a vast wilderness area and a paradise for nature lovers. The Helmcken Falls are just one of the many natural wonders of the park. We continue our journey and check in at Sun Peaks Grand hotel.

After early breakfast, travel via the semi desert-like landscape around Kamloops towards Cache Creek, one of the many towns that grew during the gold rush days. Continue through the town of Lillooet and along the Duffy Lake Road, a breathtaking drive through the true wilderness of the Coast Mountains on the way to Whistler. On arrival check in at hotel Pan Pacific whistler.

Morning drive south via the Sea to Sky Highway along beautiful Howe Sound. Highlights include Shannon Falls and the Stawamanus Chief, the second largest standing piece of granite in the world and a popular rock climbing area. You will cross Lions Gate Bridge into Vancouver where you will enjoy an orientation tour include all the main highlights: the downtown core, historical Gastown with its cobblestone streets and hidden passageways with a brief stop at the world’s first steam-powered clock which pipes a tune every half-hour, Chinatown and Stanley Park. On arrival check in at hotel Sheraton wall centre.

After breakfast we cross the Lions Gate Bridge to the North Shore of Vancouver. We visit the Capilano Suspension bridge, stretching 137 meters across and 70 meters above the Capilano River. Discover the Cliffwalk, a cantilevered walkway clinging to the granite cliff high above Capilano Canyon and Treetops Adventure, seven suspension bridges through the evergreens taking you up to 30 meters abofe the forest floor. Next you visit Grouse Mountain, “The Peak of Vancouver”. High above towering Douglas firs, breathtaking views of the city of Vancouver, sparkling Pacific Ocean, Gulf Islands and snowy peaks unfold as you journey up the mountainside with the Skyride.

After breakfast the morning is free for your own leisure. Then in the afternoon transfer to Vancouver cruise terminal where you board your Celebrity Infinity.

You’ll sail beyond the Inside Passage into the more protected Alaska Inside Passage, a complex labyrinth of fjords and bays where whales and sea lions find refuge during the summer months.

Go whale watching, learn Tinglit tribal customs, buy arts-and-crafts gifts, or fly high above Port Frederick on a 1.6km long zip-rider. Later, tuck into the best ever halibut and chips on the cookhouse deck of historic Hoonah Packing Company cannery.

Hubbard Glacier is the largest calving glacier on the North American continent. The glacier routinely calves off icebergs as high as 10-story buildings, sending massive blocks of ice into the sea every few minutes.

Docked 07:30 – 20:00
Some sightseeing is best from above. View the majestic Mendenhall Glacier from the East Glacier Loop Trail, or sail 1,800ft aloft via gondola to Mount Roberts. The fresh air’s sure to whet your appetite so try out the local treat – crisp crab cakes.

Experience Eden firsthand. Kayak tranquil saltwater fjords fringed by ancient forests, keeping an eye out for black bear and playful porpoise. Tour the great outdoors by foot or bike, or whiz above ocean shores and never-ending forests by zipline.

After breakfast you will disembark and transfer to Vancouver International airport to board your flight to UK.
